The Castro Theatre in San Francisco was the place to be November 17-23, 2004, in honor of Godzilla's 50th birthday The best Godzilla Film Fest we have known about took place there. This is the 16 page program book from the event sponsored by Bay Area Film Events which showed 20 Godzilla or Kaiju Films.
The special guests were great:Russ Tamblyn (the first ever appearance in regard to War of the Gargantuas), Hiroshi Koizumi who was in Godzilla Raids Again, and many other Godzilla movies (he reprised his role in Mothra 1961 42 years later in Tokyo Sos), Tsutomu Kitagawa (the latest actor to don the Godzilla suit), Jerry Ito best remembered for his role of the vile Clark Nelson in Mothra 1961), Akira Kubo played many roles in Toho Films including Matago, Gorath, Son of Godzilla, Destroy All Monsters.
There are biographies of all the guests in the program. Also every film shown is given several paragraphs of synopsis and commentary by August Ragone of Henshin! Online. The center page has photos from some of the Godzilla Movies. The cover illustration is Mark Nagata.

This is a RARE collectible Godzilla theater exclusive item. This is an original theater program from the Toho Movie Godzilla vs Megalon shown in Japan in 1973. It is 35 years old! The program has 10 pages of scenes from the movie and includes photos from some of the earlier Godzilla films. It is done primarily in two toned printing although the front and back covers are full color. It also has a page from the movies it was shown with (a Japanese soccer movie and an animated Panda Movie).
It is in good condition. There is creasing, darker spots on edges of paper, some separation in middle and creasing on paper. All in all a good example of a hard to find Godzilla program.
If you are a fan of both Godzilla, Battora, and Mothra then this is the book for you! It has great color and B & W photos of all aspects of the 1992 Toho movie. There are 113 pages of wonderful behind the scenes and spfx shots.
The book even has some photos of classic earlier incarnations of Godzilla, Mothra and her protectors the twin fairies known as the Peanuts. This is another Must Have book which is an incredible companion to not only the latest in the Japanese Godzilla franchise but the entire Godzilla film series. This incredible book released in August 2016 in Japan is a must have for any fan of special effects movies. It is OUT of PRINT and now RARE. All of the giants of Japanese tokusatsu (special effects) films are covered here Honda, Tsuburaya, Nakano, Kawakita, and all the talented people who helped make these movies in Toho Films happen. This book is 191 pages of mostly color photos covering not only giant monster movies but disaster films, war movies and some television productions. There are many photos of props and behind the scene shots some of them not often seen. This book grew out of the love that many Japanese that are currently involved in film production have for those who went before them or helped teach them their art. Words don't do justice to this fabulous book from an event held near Fukushima. The dimensions are approximately 12 by 9 inches. The bottom right hand corner of the front of book is slightly crimped.
